I recommend allowing unlimited teams and hyping it up all spring training long on all shows. I also recommend NOT doing a live draft, as getting everyone to be there live will be a nightmare. Get on it, boys. I’m pretty sure that there are at least 5 of us that are in no matter what. The rest is up to you!

  Steroids are everywhere, not just baseball, and they were in the Major League long before the home run race with McGuire. The bulk of people who take them are guys who just want to look better or feel better. Everyday people whom you would probably never suspect are taking them, and with nothing financial to gain. It should be assumed that every professional athlete is taking them, especially when millions of dollars are on the line.

  i tend to listen live dumb ass, so i can’t just hit “fast forward”. my real problem isn’t with your calls either. it’s the fact that you’ve found a way to piss off a guy twice now who’s the friggin’ host of the show. mostly by you acting like a person with three holes instead of two. if you have any idea where the guy lives compared to where ryan lives, he’s around an hour away each way. the man has a 9-5 job and works for a basketball team (it’s the middle of the basketball season as you may know which means he’s extra busy). has a child, a wife, and you constantly give the guy shit about having to either check out early or not being able to show up. instead of just appreciating any time he decides to share with you at all. you act like the guy owes anything to you or any of his fans. we don’t give him anything but our appreciation and that’s all i hope he gives us.

  I’ve listened from the beginning of this podcast and had never heard of Drew or his show before and quite honestly I think the Drew Show’s lame - prank calls about white pizza while pretending to be a black man? Really?!

  I think Pedro et al at 5th Base are so much better! The valentine show was great… I also think the Crew shows are far more entertaining and you could really feel the frustration from Ryan and Diggz this time round, who are desperately trying to make something happen - (which is always difficult when the “talent” just isn’t interested).

  Even the loyal listeners are pissed! So, as someone who never heard the heady days of “on-air” Drew - really not impressed at all! (did I say that already?)

  If he can’t even respect the immediate people that are supporting him or his loyal listeners, I think it’s time to cut the boy loose… (no offense intended Drew but come on? What are you playing at?)

  Controversial maybe but then I don’t see the guy through the rose-tinted spectacles you all do…

  Roll on the Crew and 5th base - loving it!

The show description says “Drew stops by for 50% of the show which is 100% better than none of the show.” Truer words never spoken. All is right with the world. Life is a bowl of cherrys. I just prefer strawberries, myself.

  Interesting perspective, Hallkind. I will state emphatically that, despite Ryan’s objective to get the show heard by thousands (if not millions) of podcast fans who are unfamiliar with my previous radio work, I do the show for those who have been fans of mine in the past. For the first time ever, I’m broadcasting with no ratings or salary incentives. I don’t have to pretend to be someone I’m not, I don’t have to pretend to like or appreciate people like Jason, and I honestly couldn’t care less whether you enjoy the show or not.

  If I had the necessary time to devote to this venture, it would be a lot more enjoyable and I would likely be a great deal more forgiving and understanding when it comes to criticism. However, I don’t have that kind of time and if the podcasting venture affects my family happiness even one fraction, it’s just not worth it to me. I would much rather simply enjoy what precious few moments I do have with my wife and son.

  MTB, coynemyster, Samantha, Graham, ybme, et. al…I do sincerely and thoroughly appreciate you guys listening to, calling, and contributing to the show. You’ve made it fun for me…but not enough fun to even tolerate someone like Jason. Jason, I don’t know whether it’s you or what you represent that I find so loathsome…but it doesn’t really matter. What matters is that you’re out there, you refuse to evolve or take an honest look at yourself, and if doing this show any longer means I have to even read your words or hear that stupid voice of yours…well, I can’t stomach it. Whether or not you understand this is inconsequential to me. If you were to seriously consider going away (or even simply listening without calling and/or posting here), I would give another thought to doing some shows. However, follow your inner voice and do what you see fit.

The rest of you can all contact me on myspace or facebook. And I’ll still do my thing on the Crew show and 5th base so Drew doesnt have to put up with me. Done deal. Everybody is happy, yes?

  If only it were that easy, Jason. You are not the sole reason for my frustration. I would say you’re the symptom rather than the disease. The disease being the lack of spare time I have right now. I’ll reiterate that I don’t expect you to understand this, but I feel like I have to let you know how difficult it is for me to leave my wife and son on a weekend night to go do the show. I honestly work about 60 hours a week including all Magic home games, which leaves me very little free time to hang with the people I love the most.

  There are only a few months left in the season and after that, I’ll strongly consider making a bigger commitment to putting out new Drew Shows. For now, I feel like I’m being pulled in a million different directions and I can’t have that affect my family’s harmony. I want to enjoy doing the Drew Show again and not to have it be a chore or a burden, and that’s the way it feels right now. I will let you know you’re not the sole reason for that, but it certainly doesn’t help to read your idiotic words or even hear your voice when you call in. Just being honest. If you’re honest with yourself, you will fully realize what you do to annoy me so much…and if I’m being honest, I have to say that I think you really do enjoy that.
